Quick Start Documentation for ToDo (ShareWare)
----------------------------------------------
The ShareWare version of ToDo is started by entering:
ToDoSW
at the DOS command line.
Additional documentation for ToDo is in the file: ToDo.HLP
It can be viewed/printed from the program by pressing: <Alt> <F1>
or you can use DOS to view/print the file.
Hardware Requirements:
DOS 3.3
31 Files (in your CONFIG.SYS)
640K RAM (Minimum Available RAM is 500K or greater.)
(Registered version doesn't require this much!)
Quick Start:
DOS Statements in AUTOEXEC.BAT: (assuming ToDo is in a directory
on drive C: named ToDo)
SET ToDo=C:\ToDo - Location of ToDo Data Bases
C:\ToDo\ToDo /CHECK /S /T /H - BATCH mode to check upcomming events
You will also need to ADD the ToDo PATH to your PATH statement.
DOS Statement in CONFIG.SYS:
FILES=31
The default date format is mm/dd/yy, however, if you prefer the
British format of dd/mm/yy, you can make this choice from the
Configuration Option from the Utility Menu.
The default Postal Code format is U.S., however, if you prefer the
Canadian or free form, you can make this choice from the
Configuration Option from the Utility Menu.
Hints:
Function Keys that can be pressed ANYTIME:
<F1> Context Sensitive Help
<Alt> <F1> General ToDo Help
<Ctrl> <F1> ToDo Road Map (Functions/Help)
<F10> Calendar
<Shft> <F10> Calculator (Math & Date)
<Ctrl> <F10> can be pressed anytime if you're using an EGA or
VGA monitor to change colors (there are 2 color
options). Also see the discussion below
about the EGA/VGA Palette Options.
With a "single color" monitor that has graphics capabilities,
use the command line option: /MONO to force monochrome
attributes.
HINT: Pressing <Ctrl><F1> will display all of the functions within
ToDo and how to get there. If you highlight any one of the
functions and press <RETURN>, full help on that topic will be
displayed.
When entering data remember the following:
At least one CLIENT must be entered before any TASKS can be entered.
At least one TASK must be entered before any HOURS can be entered.

2 Enter all the tasks that you're working on (Task Maintenance)
3 Enter the hours that you work on these tasks each day.
4 Print reports as needed.
Enjoy!
